BROADCAST VIRTUAL PRODUCTION
WAR ZONE MAP
Developed a large-scale virtual map
for a TV Globo news report covering the
Russia–Ukraine conflict. The project combined a real-time
3D environment with a live chroma key presentation,
allowing the reporter to stand directly on the map while
explaining the locations, borders, and key events
of the war. The environment was created using 3ds Max,
V-Ray, and Unreal Engine.
I was responsible for modeling, texturing, lighting,
look development, optimization, and Unreal integration.
V-Ray baked lighting was used to achieve realistic
visuals while maintaining high real-time performance
for broadcast.
The final production seamlessly integrated the
presenter filmed on a green screen with the interactive
virtual map, creating an engaging and immersive way
to communicate complex geopolitical information on television.
